Hey! I’m Cristi, the owner of C. MacBurnie Photography. I live in Barrie, a vibrant city nestled perfectly between Toronto and Muskoka.
In our home it’s my husband Dan, our 2 year old daughter Isabel, and our cockpoo Eli. When Dan isn’t helping me choose which photos to post for sneak peeks (the daily struggle! I want to post them all!) he’s fighting fires on the Brampton Fire Department or building dream decks. Isabel is a smart, sassy, little social butterfly who keeps me on my toes and I adore being her mom! When I’m not shooting, I’m either at the gym, planning my next trip, or working my “Monday to Friday” job with Hydro One.
I have always had a passion for photography and have been shooting professionally since I was seventeen. One day I will sit down and tally my wedding count but it’s in the triple digits & I feel so blessed! I started my
business in 2009 while completing my diploma in Digital Photography & Imaging at George College, and have since achieved my dream of being a photographer and business owner.
I’m easy going and love getting to know my clients, many of whom become longtime friends, and my goal is to make every photoshoot and wedding experience enjoyable, comfortable, fun, and authentically YOU, even if it’s your first time in front of the camera! My favourite part of this job is capturing those candid moments when you’re are unaware of the camera and being yourselves — these often become the most favourite photos.
Anyone who has been following my journey knows how much I love chasing that dreamy lighting — and if there’s a sunset, you can guarantee we’ll be out there capturing magazine-worthy photos of you in front of it!
I have been published in numerous newspapers and wedding magazines, including the cover image for Simcoe County’s Wedding Trends, and voted Orillia’s favourite photographer twice (I still can’t get over that! thank you!!).
I specialize in capturing love and everyone is welcome! I also offer engagement shoots with most of my wedding packages, and am partnered with a talented videographer for those looking for a bundle deal.
